Miss Earth Kazakhstan 2012 Svetlana Raschshupkina
A 20 year-old native of Almaty, Svetlana Raschshupkina is Manila-bound for Miss Earth 2012. Her country, Kazakhstan, has never placed in the Top 4 of the pageant except during the premiere edition way back in 2001 when Margarita Kravtsova was crowned Miss Water to Catharina Svensson’s Miss Earth.
Will beautiful Svetlana turn the tide and be able to reach far this time around? The opposition contains some of the finest candidates in any edition so far, but it still is a contest so everyone should ideally start on equal footing before the best of the lot starts nosing out the weaker wannabes. Let’s wait and see… ;-)
Miss Earth Trinidad & Tobago 2012 Amryl Nurse
Prior to being crowned as Miss Earth Trinidad & Tobago 2012, Amryl Nurse of Paria Waterfalls was awarded Miss Amity and Miss Intelligence. So aside from being the best in her national pageant, she can also be called the friendliest and the smartest. A Bachelor’s degree holder in Business Management, she is a member of Shashamane Sunrise – a charity geared toward educating children.
The 22 year-old Amryl is statuesque at 1.78m. In the Miss Earth website, she stated the following:
“…I can tell everyone that knowledge is power, that is a gift that no one can take away from you once given, so we need to seek to be educated and take action in knowing that the earth is ours and without it, we have nowhere to live.”
This lady looks to be a brainy one. Hopefully, she can carry through till the more crucial judging days of Miss Earth 2012. ;-)
Miss Earth Nicaragua 2012 Braxis Alvarez
Gut feel tells me that there’s something special about Miss Earth Nicaragua 2012 Braxis Alvarez. I cannot put into specific words how I feel about her just yet, but she exudes a comforting aura that is both warm and calming, sisterly if you will.
Watch her video below first.

Braxis was born on Valentine’s Day 24 years ago in Rio San Juan, Nicaragua. Now a resident of Managua, she finished a degree in Architecture. She was her country’s bet to Top Model Universe 2009, but is more fascinated now that she is competing in Manila for a title that brings her closer to the causes of nature and Mother Earth as a whole.
Environmentally, she is all for energy independence. She stresses on
“…the WIND HOME OF LOW POWER or wind systems that can be made with household materials and are inexpensive.” As an architect, she believes that she can spearhead this project in the rural areas to reduce energy needs and the pressure on natural resources.
Braxis seems to be one individual who can put into fruition what she sets her mind into. Will she – in the meantime – be able to make a convincing performance to become Nicaragua’s first Miss Earth? :-)
Miss Earth Mexico 2012 Lourdes Paola Aguilar Concha
This lovely lady from Yucatan is Mexico’s Miss Earth Ambassadress for 2012. Lourdes Paola Aguilar Concha, 19, studied Fashion Design at Merida’s Universidad Modelo. The Miss Earth website states that her ecological objective is to “…remove beach pollution. This aims to protect the environmental quality of beaches and raise levels of competitiveness of tourist destinations by the realization of contributions in favor of the environment.”
For sure, this year’s delegates will spend a lot of time near or around bodies of water. Lourdes Paola will definitely be in her best elements here. ;-)
Miss Earth Czech Republic 2012 Tereza Fajksova
What’s with the name Tereza? Is it always associated with a gorgeous face in this Central European nation? The reigning Česká Miss Universe is Tereza Chlebovska, a sweet-faced young woman who will compete in Las Vegas. Now here comes Tereza Fajksová – Česká Miss Earth 2012 – a 23 year-old from Ivancice. Endowed with an enviable height of 5’10.5″, she also comes with a shapely figure that was promptly noticed during Miss Tourism Queen International 2010 where she was voted 2nd Runner-Up in the Miss Beautiful Body award. Last year, she also represented her country in Miss Bikini International and reached Top 24. This month, will lady luck stay on her side all the way to the finals? If I can only directly wink at her to signal my approval, I would in an instant. So here goes for the meantime. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Miss Earth Northern Ireland Ciara Walker
‘You never miss the water till the well has run dry.’
This is the favorite Irish proverb of Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2012 Ciara Walker that she uses to sum up her environmental thrust. The 20 year-old fashion model from Derry may not look like your typical eco-warrior, but she sure has pretty good ideas on what needs to be done to preserve Mother Earth. Beyond the glamour, make-up and socializing that come with the responsibilities of a beauty queen, she is only too happy that her title has an added cause that could make her reign worth remembering.
Will Ciara be a strong entry for Northern Ireland in Miss Earth 2012? What do you think, dear readers? ;-)
Miss Philippines Miriam Jimenez for Miss International Queen 2012
Just an update on the Philippine participation in Miss International Queen 2012. The candidates are currently in Bangkok for some contest-related activities. Miss Philippines Miriam Jimenez (she’s actually one of three wearing the country’s sash) is doing well. She has bonded so well with her competitors, especially Miss Romania who happens to be her roommate.
The finals will be held this coming Friday, November 2, in Pattaya. Let’s hope Miriam or any of the two other Miss Philippines will win and bring home the crown. :-)
Miss Earth Malaysia 2012 Deviyah Daranee
I was told that Kuala Lumpur-based Deviyah Daranee is an A-level student of Science who plans of becoming a successful Accountant in the future. This tall 21 year-old shouldn’t find that hard to achieve after her reign as ME Malaysia is completed. Right now, she is more focused on according her country an excellent representation in Miss Earth 2012.
Below, watch the video of one of her interviews on Malaysian TV.
What’s in store for Deviyah in Manila? Is there a good chance of her capturing Malaysia’s first Miss Earth crown?
Miss Earth Costa Rica 2012 Fabiana Granados
Fabiana Granados is a student aged 22 years, stands 5’7.5″ and measures 34-24-35. But enough of the statistics for now. This lovely Senorita from San Jose has that face that refreshes. And wouldn’t you want your Earth Ambassador to look like her? I love the way how she described Costa Rica in the Miss Earth website:
“…I come from a country without armies so the resources are used for education for kids. We are friendly with the environment since Costa Rica is called a Green Country. Costa Rica ranks fifth worldwide in the classification of the Environmental Performance Index 2012 and the first among the countries in the Americas.“
Fabiana could be one of the most unforgettable faces of Miss Earth 2012!
Is Fabiana destined to become Costa Rica’s first Miss Earth?
This is tough! I am slowly being drawn to the charm and allure of this Costa Rican eye candy. And I bet she has more to offer than the dozens upon dozens of online photographs I’ve seen of her. Fabiana raises my excitement level for Miss Earth 2012 even more! :-D
Miss Earth Guam 2012 Sarah Filush
Guam’s bet to Miss Earth 2012 is 24 year-old Sarah Borja Filush from Piti. A graduate of Harvest Christian Academy, she stands 165 cm. and won the right to represent the island after nailing the local competition held in Agana last June.
While she may be one of the shorter delegates expected to arrive in Manila soon, Sarah is not about to let her height get in the way of putting up a fine performance against the more glamazonic competitors, especially during the Miss Earth challenges where she is likely to rise to the occasion. :-)
