I was recently invited to the blessing and inauguration of Yoga+ at the Fort Legend Tower in Bonifacio Global City and it was a well-attended event alright. The place was filled with family, friends and well-wishers – most of whom are yoga enthusiasts who have already started attending the different classes prior to the formal opening. On hand to welcome guests were the seven friends who started it all – including my pals Managing Director Dinah Salonga & Dina del Rosario-Salang plus Studio Manager Ryan Chester (a cute Aussie hunk who leads the students through all the intricate moves of Yoga). Drinks overflowed (I particularly liked the Mango juice mixed with Spumante) and yummy food was served by Cibo (can’t get over the olive oil-based pasta). That night, I was suprised to see and be introduced to Miss Universe 1999 1st Runner-Up Miriam Quiambao who was in attendance. The beauty pageant fan in me was tickled pink so I immediately asked for a photo opportunity with her. By the way, she still looks as beautiful and radiant as the day she won Bb. Pilipinas. And if that’s not enough, I met (for the 2nd time) 1985 Miss Maja Pilipinas and Miss Maja International 2nd Runner-Up Issa Gonzales-Agana and asked for another picture taken with her.
But back to Yoga Plus, let me just say that the studio is calming and relaxing. There are minimalist zen stone decors lined up around the floor to ceiling windows and the over-all effect gives members a grand view of BGC while doing their yoga poses, while the spacious shower area can give anyone extra time to warm down before going to work (or home for that matter).
The mission of Yoga Plus is very simple: To make you happy, healthy and forever young!
